Gentle Love

Encouraged Gale today - ride to pick up car and friend support.

Christmas Evening in DC

Met with Jeremy last night and visited The Willard (Round Robin Bar) for a mulled spiced cider and viewing the White House Christmas Tree.

Gave a Chick-fil-A gift card to a gentleman on the street - prompted by Jeremy - he has a tender heart for the homeless and those struggling on the street.

Anonymous Janitor Work

Today's random act of kindness was anonymous office cleaning. I spent the afternoon cleaning the copy area; shredding documents; taking the recycling to the trash area; picking up bits of paper trash and general cleaning up shared spaces at work. Maybe tomorrow I'll clean the microwave.....

Janice

Listened to Janice today before employee brief. In the 20 minutes I learned so much about her and genuinely responded with compassion and encouragement.

Clean Apartment

Day 4
Today my random act of kindness was cleaning the walls of the hall stairs and vacuuming. Gale really  dislikes the scuff marks on the walls, and since many of the walls were just painted the "dirty" walls look even more "dirty". So I took that magic eraser and went to town. Satisfying job and happier housemate!

Food Bank

Day 3
Many wonderful opportunities.

Complimented a woman on her hair; lots of "Merry Christmas" comments as I passed out eggs. Genuine well wishing.

Love to serve at the Food Bank.

Peruvian Take-Out

Day 1
Painters here today, painting living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom. Three men; Zulio, Eric & Marno from Peru, Honduras and Nicaragua. They speak very little English. I speak no Spanish. Wanted to talk to them - they were so professional, courteous and they did an amazing job! Bought them lunch from my favorite Peru restaurant down the street.  That was fun.
